Is Estrogen The Hormone Of Service? PDF Print E-mail

The pattern of events is very familiar, with the same numbers and equations repeatedly interwoven in human evolution. Human life revolves around the 80/20 rule and the numbers 2 and 3.

Consider this, for those don’t already know this 20% of the world’s population hold 80% of the world’s wealth. Finances and the financial world strategize around the 80/20 rule.

The numbers 2 and 3 within a human context are a fascinating and bizarre world of biology, numerology and geometry. We are affected by these numbers more than we realise. In this ridiculous rat race we have created for ourselves we have become forgetful that our lives are shaped in a myriad of different ways by a certain numerical code.

Every human born in this world is part of a trinity formed between themselves their mother and their father. We are categorised into one of two sexes, we journey through three stages of development, namely child, adolescence and adult. Eric Burns describes three ego states of child, adult and parent that reside within everybody.

Two creates opposites. Every season has an equal and exact opposite as does the day when it slips into night, just as the magnetic fields travel between the polar caps on this planet.

The most powerful computer in the world runs on a simple binary code of one or nought.

The holy bible talks of the holy trinity, spiritualists talk of body, mind and soul and strikingly enough we have the three morphic types as described by William Sheldon and even more strangely we have three metabolic profile type diets according to some leading nutritionists and there are three vitally important macronutrients who play a critical part in our  health.

Could it be that amongst us on this earthly plain we have the living embodiment of the holy trinity or body, mind and soul in spiritual circles.
Could it be we have people who live through their bodies, people who live from their minds and people who live from their souls, all with specific nutrition requirements for each category? Nutrition not just confined to food but also in terms of needs or fulfilment on an intellectual, mental and spiritual level.Or could it be the reverse, does specific nutrition evolve the morphology?

Mr Sheldon claimed that the three morphic shapes came with their own certain secondary traits attached; these he noticed were specific to each morphic shape. He loosely concluded that while it is impossible to change the physical morphology it is possible to change, blend and integrate the secondary traits to make a more socially adapted persona.

What has to be differentiated here is the physical morphology is determined by a particular ratio between upper and lower limb and the correlation of torso length in relation to overall limb length. This has its own importance in playing a contributory role to temperament.

All three characteristic traits associated with its own specific morphic profile were very different in outlook; he described the ectomorph (tall slim) as much focused, concentrated individual, but very tense, serious, inhibited and possibly sociophobic. Could this be the person living from the mind?

The mesomorph (athletic built) is described as a loud uninhibited person, socially adaptable but can be callous, physically intimidating and reactive. Could this be the person living from the body.

The endomorph (short and stocky) as generally predisposed to being overweight, these were  described as fat, jolly and  spirited always ready to serve, but in constant need of others , socialphilic and co- dependent. Could these people be living from the soul?

It is said that the demographics of the three morphibia are represented in the following percentages ectomorph 40%, endomorph 40%, mesomorph 20%, if this is indeed the case, certainly in terms of physical prowess only 20% (that being the mesomorphs) are something approaching ideal, whilst the other 80% fall outside of the median, could this again be another reflection of the 80/20 rule at work.
Mr Sheldon hypothesised that the morphic shape of a person had a bearing, however substantial, upon the temperament and general outlook of a person.

The ectomorph was observed to be a temperature half a degree higher than the average, what Sheldon described as “physiological hyper-irritability” but the truly interesting point is that the ectomorph has the greatest surface area per mass than the other counterparts, thus making his nervous system more “naked” to the elements as Sheldon portrayed. The ectomorph is a more highly conscious and nervous person, one that generally consumes more calories than the others, maybe this is due to considerable nervous energetic output. This would give rise to a high metabolic rate, high in conscious alertness, mental and nervous energy and possibly low in spiritual energy, the exact opposite of the endomorph.

Could the rise in temperature be a mechanism to dissipate heat from the body so as to keep a cooler persona? Cooler temperatures are associated with acid, and acid is consciousness? Maybe this is the where  the saying “warm hands cold heart” originate from.

The endomorph is observed to be a slow reacting person, their basal metabolic rate is low this is indeed the reason why they are predisposed to carrying weight, however in most spiritual circles it is widely known that in order to accelerate spiritual energy one must lower your physical energy to do so. Lower in physical energy and higher in spiritual energy. Could this be why the endomorph is a more spirited soulful person? Possibly the endomorph carries a layer of fat for two reasons, one is for a protective sheath for the nervous system making them less nervous and exposed to the outside world than the ectomorph, the lowering of nervous energy may lead to a lowering of conscious arousal, secondly, as insulation which may keep the owner warmer. May be the saying “cold hands warm heart” are applicable here.

These combined incidents would give further credence to the unconscious soulful warm hearted disposition of the endomorph?

When Sheldon broke the morphic shapes into groups that were demarked by social and professional achievement another interesting statistic revealed itself. The endomorph rarely figured in leadership or high achievement, conversely neither did this group show large concentrations in the lower orders of achievement either. Most were clustered in the “normal” groups, safely and sedately plodding, while the other two morphic shapes covered the whole range of achievement from great achievers to social misfits.

This is too kept in mind as we pass onto the next line of enquiry that is hormones its relationship to temperature, temperament, the chemical states of acid and alkaline.
The endomorph has fat deposits general spreading all over their persons, with this is always a common denominator and that is estrogen dominance. Wherever there is rounded morphic shaping estrogen is always present even in men, modern medicine is now starting to change its view on estrogen in men as before testosterone was the culprit now contempary thinking is that estrogen is now at fault.

What cannot be denied is that estrogen is a female hormone and that women are predisposed to greater fat deposits and cellulite than men, this is a fact.
However, is there not a correlation between the endomorphic shape and the desire to be of service to others, hugely socialphilic and possibly sacrificial, like the female trait to sacrifice their own bodies to bring new life into the world?

Is there not a connection between willingness in serving others, (which is generally at the expense of oneself) and that soulful sacrificial endomorphic outlook described by Sheldon as “a gluttony for food, for people and for affection” driven by a fear of rejection perhaps, that leads to an overcompensation of deeds performed, to keep a relationship rather than be true to ones boundaries, refuse to be compliant and risk the rejection of a disgruntled other party?

By being endomorphic in physical presentation, the body’s core temperature would surely be raised; hence “warm heart cold hands” as we know in nature when temperature rise the atmosphere alkalises, as just as summer alkalises and winter acidifies, so an endomorph could alkalise?
If the endomorph could alkalise then surely they would induce the sedative effect that heat and alkalinity bring about?
Would this not be the answer as to the sedated, soulful, happy, jolly outlook the endomorph is renowned for?
Would it not be that the endomorph has the ability of subconscious thermal sedation?
Could an endomorph defuse the resentment felt for their self and the others that take advantage of their nature, by thermal sedation, this would be a great copping strategy if the real issue of defending boundaries where to be bypassed?

Given that in Bergman and Wells principle the endomorph has shorter limb and torso ratio the endomorph would retain heat more efficiently than the other morphic shapes. Is it not possible that also the endomorph is not entirely happy with their own disposition to service, albeit on a deep subconscious level that they themselves may not be aware of, but none the less real, would seek to sedate these deep callings by thermal regulation? To literally smother the deep yearning to be able to stand ones ground and defend ones boundaries?

The ectomorph has no such troubles in defending his boundaries, the ectomorph as Sheldon puts it has a phobia for being exposed on a physical and mental level and will take preventative steps such as defending boundaries so that no such incident occurs.
The nervousness experienced by the ectomorph makes them extremely wary of all situations in which they enter; conversely an endomorphic would blindly conform and duly perform what was asked, regardless of consequence to self.
Does the ectomorph, half a degree hotter and with a greater surface area dissipates heat quicker in a bid to stay cool, which in turn keeps them “unsedated”, extremely conscious, focused, vigilant?
Surely everyone has experienced the feeling stepping from a warm bed or bath into the cold in winter time, and how quickly the sedation ends and the cold brings conscious clarity? If the ectomorph were to become sedated, would they lose his keen sense of vigilance and nervous reactance?
The irony being that nervous energy consumes the greatest amount of calories, if you don’t think so try taking a flying lesson in a light aircraft, see how hungry and tired you are after 20 minutes of flying!

Does the endomorph keep sedated so as to flow through life in a surreal fashion, unable or unwilling to take responsibility for their boundaries?
Would this be because real life is deemed too perilous to consider entering given that your defences are at best poor?
Would it be that the other morphic types could also migrate towards the endomorphic disposition of “self induced thermal sedation” should they incur a situation within their lives, for which there is no solution or escape?

Many people have experienced the wrong job, partner, dependants, environment etc but have need of finances or security that override, leaving people exposed to a situation for which they cannot alleviate themselves from, thus a copping strategy is required. “Self Induced Thermal Sedation” would be a perfect solution to the inner calling.
Would it be that in order to lose weight, if that is what the person wanted, then the way to go about it would to expose the nervous system to the world just as the ectomorph does?
Could it be that the hidden psychological benefit of a generous layer of fat is that a person become physically “bigger” which compensates for the feeling of “small” deep down?
Could the layer of fat be a psychological jacket that is just a protection from the outside world?

Nutrition plays a huge role in the development and well being of a person, but does the person realise why they have an affinity to certain foods, and the chemical state of acid or alkaline that lies behind the decision making in food selection.
Again Sheldon describes the endomorph as being very advanced in the viscera and digestive systems, as we know digestion starts in the mouth with an enzyme called amylase in the saliva that starts to bind with carbohydrates ready to escort the food though the acid bath of the stomach and into the intestines to be further broken down.
Sheldon also pointed out that endomorphic people are extremely skilled with their mouths, kissing and sucking being some of these, they "suck hard at the breast
of mother earth" and love physical proximity with others.”
Isn’t it fairly ironic then that fat itself leaches the enzyme amylase into the bloodstream and turns testosterone into estrogen especially in men?
So causing a downward spiral where overweight people become even more overweight.

Is this just irony or is it another correlation between the endomorphic profile, viscerotonia (the endomorphic traits) and estrogen?
Without wishing to be sexist, the female inclination to serve and sacrifice which is a default behaviour (although it must be pointed out it is not entirely gender specific) and the predisposition to cellulite plus a greater body fat percentage may be linked to the female hormone estrogen and the endomorphic profile.
Could it be that when a person becomes too much in service of others or sacrificial, or co-dependant they become estrogenic by nature and gain fat deposits.
The ectomorph or the mesomorphs don’t struggle with weight gain and they don’t serve as readily as the endomorph?
Strangely when people get depressed they reach for starchy foods such as bread and pasta that contain serotonin, this is a natural upper and mood elevator. Now consider the whole digestive tract is something approaching 10 metres (30 feet) long and has thousands of nerve endings, imagine how good it feels if those 10 metres were packed with serotonin laden starches.

Does eating starches give the thousands of nerve endings in the digestive tract an internal emotional sensation, all this to compensate for the lack of highs and lows of the conscious rollercoaster, bypassed due to sedation?
However look into many metabolic type diets and most agree that starches don’t work for the endomorphic profile, starches inhibit protein synthesis, endomorphic profiles respond well to a high protein diet with good oils and fats ironically. The high protein diet is high in acid, the polar opposite of alkaline sedation.
Starchy food gives off high calorific value which causes heat and as we know the endomorph is quite proficient at heat retention, a case of more thermal sedative copping strategy?

Again you can’t help but wonder at the cycle of the pattern, starches cause heat, which causes sedation, sedation fuels the copping strategy, the copping strategy creates a need to be overweight, being overweight produces the enzyme amylase, which cause more estrogen, which cause more sacrificial behaviour?

Eating an acid diet by my own person experience lowers body temperature marginally, but more so it puts acid into ones veins metaphorically speaking, this might be the very acid needed by the sedated endomorphic to just hold their ground and defend their boundaries. If the person were to break the cycle it would be to stop the compulsion to serve, and start to be more selective in who or what they did indeed serve.
Alkalinity is found mainly in fruit and vegetables, pulses and grains, again derivatives of organisms that have had unconscious life, in many ways like the “unconscious or  unpresent” endomorph in their own sedated surreal manner.
Could it be by the virtue of eating acid food it negates the alkalinity of sedation ?
So could an ectomorph who has nervous conscious awareness eat alkaline foods in order to negate his acid conscious nature?

The metabolic profile type diet suitable for the ectomorph recommends the only 20% protein and 5% oils and fats, the remaining 75% from carbs interestingly enough.
Could that be a highly alkaline diet for the cool acid conscious ectomorph, in an attempt to bringing them to the neutral point?
What would be the purpose of negating the orientation to which you were attached?
I propose neutral is the state of optimum health as most describe, the 7.4 ph blood utopia.
I propose that in the meeting point of the two states of acid and alkalinity lies, is where the fusion of both states has given rise to the mesomorph. The mesomorph sits in the neutral zone and as far as physical stature goes they have the pound seats.

The two states of acid and alkaline give rise to three morphic profiles, befitting the consistent pattern that these numbers play in our lives.
However Sheldon pointed out that the mesomorph comes with limitations too and that being what he calls “horizontal cleavage” an inability to see beyond the physical.
It would appear nobody has it all.

Anybody can become overweight with the right combination of wrong nutrition, wrong lifestyle, wrong job, wrong thinking, wrong choices etc.
Conversely anybody can lose weight with the right combination too, so if a person were to become slimmer would that person become more cerebrotonic (ectomorphic traits) in outlook? Could a person migrate from viscerotonic (endomorphic trait) to somatotonic (Mesomorphic trait) and onto cerebrotonic?
Is it possible to migrate between the traits as we go through life?

Certainly it is not beyond reason that this could happen maybe this would explain middle age spread? As a child there is little in the way of serving others, adults take responsibility for much of their life, a youngster or even an adolescent is generally not renown for thoughtfulness and servitude, also they are highly conscious of themselves and their vulnerability, making their nervous system exposed to this big new world in which they are growing. This would keep weight down and the body slim.

The middle age person who is now a parent, is responsible for dependants has now become in service of their families, they have performed a job or task for many years, are well and truly enmeshed in a routine, have grown into adulthood, so life in general is very familiar, conscious nervous awareness is seldom called upon in the routine, it could be fair to say life may slip into the safe haven of sedation and with it weight gain?

As Soren Kierkegaard’s claim that boredom leads to emotion starvation, the young who’s nervous system are being exposed to new challenges and concepts as they grow, would seldom slip into boredom or sedation, their minds are kept active in the learning process, are in service of nobody generally, on top of this is the wild youthful energy of the newly world acquainted, would keep stable body weight.
The middle age person has become stale and stuck in their world of familiarity, routine and burden, emotionally starved perhaps? all the ingredients needed for sedation.
Sedation maybe required as a copping strategy to be able to carry out the commitments placed upon them, particularly when the heart and soul wish to be elsewhere.
Sheldon also recognised that the three morphic profiles all had a constant pattern of behaviour towards two issues, first was sleep and the other was a bias towards a particular period in the lives.

As regards to sleep the endomorph always slept deeply and for considerably longer than the other two types.
May be the endomorph is insignificant in their life but when asleep they enter one of the most significant periods of the day. For when in deep sleep you are in fact in a place where only you go, nobody else goes where you go, you are for all intents and purposes shut down and in service of nobody but yourself, you have become truly significant within your world, albeit unconsciously. It is said that sleep alkalises us but paradoxically when we get deep sleep our body temperature actually drops, and as in nature we would become more acid when the temperature drops. For the endomorph this is would be great news as it would neutralise some of the alkalinity of sedation and bring them nearer to the neutral point.

It is claimed by Sheldon that the ectomorph slept fitfully, could this be that by their highly conscious state and nervous defence mechanism, would lend them to be highly significant in their world thus not needing to shut down entirely, unlike the endomorph?
The mesomorph “just did” and didn’t give anything a second thought, they reacted from bodily need.
May be sleep could play a major part in meeting our needs for significance?

The second issue that Sheldon observed was time, a period in time in our lives or as Eckhart Tolle so fittingly puts it “Psychological Time”
The endomorph was biased towards predominant feelings of childhood and past experience.
The ectomorph was biased towards predominant feelings for the future and maturity
The mesomorph just lived for now.
Funny how we have, again the three dimensions of time that being past, present and future represented by the morphic profiles.
Also that the neutrality of  the mesomorph the one member who lives for the now as so beautifully portrayed  by Eckhart Tolle is the one member who enjoys physical supremacy ?

If the universe, god or super power who created what we have today, and is present within us as our soul, then it would be deemed the parent and we as mortals would be its children, based on the fact that its intelligence was higher and more advanced than ours, much the same way as played out within humans and their breeding systems.
The endomorph would be the child hanging to its mother’s apron strings, unwilling to venture out into the big wide world, not wishing to bump their heads but to avoid all potential danger, the ectomorph would be the child that has wondered so far into the world it barely needs a parent, they have their autonomy,” I can do it myself thank you I don’t need you to think for me”, whilst the mesomorph just got on with being a child.
The endomorph would remain unprepared for conscious living as having spent most of their time attached to childhood and merrily sedated the opportunity to learn in the conscious arena would have unfortunately been missed.

Those who are unwilling to venture into the conscious arena will always be vulnerable through lack of experience and worldly exposure.
There are times when all of us as humans are forced into the conscious arena, learning, training, relocating etc; these would be the times when weight is lost, at the times when we are forced out of comfortable sedation and into conscious alertness. This would be highly logical as our livelihoods depend on our vigilance; we have not established a routine proficient enough to rid ourselves of the need for alertness. Once the routine has been established long enough, comfort and sedation will re-emerge to combat the boredom.

Many of us seek the easy route, that unfortunately is human nature, but maybe there is a price to pay for ploughing that field.
The next question it throws into light is this, if endomorphic traits are biased towards the past and childhood, should a person become trapped in the past by way of thoughts, unable to move into the present would they experience weight gain?
Could this be another sign from our bodies that we are living in “psychological time” and not fully present?
The next port of enquiry again takes us back to the magical figure of two again and yet another quirk of irony.
Alkaline sedation is evident in the way a person carries fat deposits, this is an overall spreading of fat around the body, and gives a rounded effect.
Acid overweightness is carried only on the midsection and girdle, whilst the limbs and buttocks actually atrophy; there is a slight buffalo hump upon the upper back, just below the neck and general “moon shape” face.
These are the clear distinguishing weight gain body talk of acid and alkaline.

Estrogen dominance is always behind the alkaline sedated endomorph. Here is the kicker.
Where ever there is estrogen dominance there is also suppressed thyroid activity (hypothyroidism), this is a knock on effect of estrogen dominance.
The thyroid is situated in the throat, how funny then that the endomorph who is naturally in service and in need of others, is the one person who needs to “find their throat” and speak up for themselves to defend their boundaries?

Take a look at a person which hypothyroidism and you will see puffing and bloating under the chin, almost as if pressure were being applied to the throat/ thyroid area in order to make the person “speak up” and hold their ground. It’s as if the throat were disappearing, in the case of the endomorph it probably has already.
If I didn’t know better I would say there is a distinct code, occurring when people become overweight warning signs appear from the body itself.
It says something like this, stop serving others, put some acid in your veins, speak up and start serving yourself!!
I’m quite sure inside every overweight person there is a Tiger waiting to be set loose.
Alkaline sedation through heat retention would seem to be the way to control the situation.
Through my own personal experience, a raising of acid (protein) in the diet has lead to not only a decrease in fat levels but has actually changed my body shape.
This is due to the increase in the testosterone hormone levels, my weight never diminished nor did my size but my body composition changed.
This is a balancing of testosterone and estrogen, which like in all things a balance is required.
Is the estrogen the hormone of service? Is testosterone the hormone of self service?
Are the two prime drivers of all human behaviour, love and attention represented by these two hormones?
Is the act of love and sacrifice represented by estrogen?  Does the need for attention signal a call for behaviour that is self serving?
When we serve others too much do we become estrogenic and become over weight?
When we become entrenched in the past do we become estrogenic and over weight?
When boredom has set in do we become emotionally starved causing us to eat foods that fill the emptiness? Foods that generally don’t work for us, foods such as starches that inhibit protein synthesis?
A raising of  protein, quality fats and oils increases testosterone which reduces fat.
Putting protein and testosterone would increase the acid level in the body making us more consciously alert?
Could our bodies be talking to us when the thyroid has lost its throat?
The mesomorph has an “unrestrained voice” according to Sheldon, ironic?
Could our weight be a yard stick by how balanced we are in approach to our need to serve self as well as others.
The two needs of love and attention, the two states of acid and alkaline, the two hormones estrogen and testosterone all play a binary code in the health and welfare of our lives.

Again we have three sets of pairs, this could be nothing more than coincidence and undermine the magic of 2 and 3 but on the other hand is it part of the code of life.Of course there are many other hormones and many other needs but these are the basic fundamentals of optimum health.
