With the many problems in today’s world, lifestyle, obesity, attitudes all affecting quality of life, people are searching and struggling for answers. Here is my take on things. We have all missed a very subtle but powerful point. The answer has been given in nature, we have overlooked the point.

Humans are divided into male and female, but we are also divided again into scientific and the spiritual. It is invisible, but none the less real. There is good reason for this, the world needs both, the world needs balance. This division is achieved through chemical bias, scientific people have acidic blood pH, spiritual people have alkaline blood pH. The scientific and the spiritual have entirely different relationships to the world, they learn differently, they grow differently, they have different needs and communicate in different ways. This world needs both types of people for fusion, neutrality and balance.

So who are the scientific and who are the spiritual?

The terminology is rudimentary and crude, both groups cover a wide variety of people and skills but they are bound by certain characteristics, traits and behaviours. The scientific refers to anybody of logical persuasion, the scientist, the engineer, the analyst, the academic etc, these people are highly conscious, highly focused, they have strong conscious identity (however misguided or misplaced) and with that strong boundaries that they will defend either with fighting, resistance or lack of co-operation.

The scientific represents conscious thought, cold logical reason. As a result of high consciousness they are highly observant and pay attention, they are stimulated visually and learn through watching and reading.

The scientific represents the need for significance. The scientific pays a lot of attention to the world around him and demands attention from the world around him.

The spiritual does not mean religious. Religion can be prevalent in either party. The spiritual is the carer, the giver, the server, the sacrificer, these people love to love,
love to serve and please, they love to network and communicate by any means necessary, they are placid by nature, have poor conscious identity based on the fact
they spend most of their time serving, pleasing or communicating with others and have very little time to consider their own identity. As a result of poor conscious
identity, they have very poor boundaries.

The spiritual person represents the  unconscious automaton behaviour within us,spiritual people are sensitive to their environment and as a consequence they don’t
see the world around them -  They FEEL the world around them.

The spiritualist  represents the need for love. The need for love and attention dominants all human behaviour, everything we do is in pursuit of these needs,
whether it be consciously or unconsciously.

Within humans, the need for love and give love is deeply unconscious and automatic, only when we consciously override does this situation change.

Acid blood is the cold calculated logical reason, alkaline blood is the warm hearted impetuous romantic and eternal believer in good faith.

Alkaline blood loves by default, it gives too readily, acid blood has learnt to say no and won’t let its boundaries be breached. Alkaline blood can’t say no, it is still heavily attached to love which is governed by the fear of rejection. Alkaline blood would rather have its boundaries breached , sacrifice its own needs than risk rejection.

Acid blood takes responsibility for its boundaries and guards them well, alkaline does not. Acid blood works out of self interest, alkaline blood does not.
Both approaches work sometimes depending on the situation, only through the acid consciousness of learning in this world we gain the maturity and wisdom to be able to know when to use what.

Being in a state of unconscious default living we lose the opportunity to learn the wisdom that will ultimately protect us.

Every decision, every thought, every action, everything you consume affects your acid/alkalinity and in so doing affects the pull of either the need for significance (attention)or love within you.  Everybody is born with a bias to either acid or alkaline but can negate the bias by thought, nutrition and environmental conditions.

Take a look at the animal kingdom, the coldest blooded creatures snakes, crocodiles, reptiles , highly conscious and acidic creatures spend large amounts of time warming in the sun and resting, what are they doing? Yes they are warming up but what they are really doing is alkalising, creating balance in their bodies. The same is true of most other predators lions, tigers, bears all have large periods of time unconscious, resting or hibernating, creating alkaline for their acid cold predator blood.

In reverse look at the grass and vegetable eaters in the animal world, always grazing very little sleep or rest why? Because the constant movement generates a constant flow of lactic acid that negates an alkaline diet of vegetation, also being constantly vigil keeps these animals conscious and therefore acidic which negate their alkaline blood. The whole animal kingdom swings on the two chemical states.

However it is possible to overcompensate this bias and go beyond neutral and dwell in the opposite element, through extremities in nutrition and thinking.

What we are striving for is neutrality and balance.

There are cultures around the world that have recognised the two elements and the  needs they represent, they are aware that keeping neutrality keeps healthy mind, stable bodyweight and disease at bay, in essence meeting both needs in balance.

In the west do we dwell too heavily in the world of alkaline ,love , serving others and automaton  even when we believe we are in the world of acid and serving self? Is it not true  we spend virtually the entirety of our lives serving companies, families and the material dream, doing what we believe is expected of us, rather than what we want to do. Are we all not prisoners in a mad sprint for business and competition or are we highly materially conscious and cold business minded that makes us dwell in the world of acid?

Here’s the twist, the west is actually in the world of alkaline, love and automaton, reason being the only true authentic significance comes from within. The significance we seek from status and materialism is external, fleeting, transitory and therefore not authentic, its illusionary and only a disguised form of the alkaline world of love
and serving others.

Is it not true that the significance we seek through status and recognition is reliant on somebody else noticing us? We are still reliant on an external force separate to
ourselves, we are still needing others, we may not be serving them but none the less we still need them. The true authentic significance we seek comes from within, when we turn our attention inwardly, we give ourselves the attention we deserve, the true lasting significance we crave, we give ourselves  the recognition we deserve. We give the opportunity for the two worlds of acid conscious mind and alkaline unconscious mind to engage in proper communication, in doing so the needs of these two worlds can be heard.

When the two minds can engage in communication we can at last hear ourselves ‘think’. When the two minds have a board meeting they are better informed and equipped to make better joint decisions for the wellbeing of the person.

But there is a price to pay, for this to happen, we need time!!!! this is the golden resource that everybody has. How people choose to use this most precious resource is up to the individual.  Time is now the one thing we don’t have any more. Time is money, money is more important than us, that is the choice we have made.

When we cannot hear ourselves think anymore, we have arrived at the point where we are insignificant in our own lives. Our minds are over stimulated, overtaxed, overburdened and over stressed. We have lost our minds, we have lost ourselves!!!!! Our own insignificance is a loss of self identity, which starts us on a quest to validate our existence by external materialism and status. The more insignificant we become the greater the effort to validate ourselves externally.

Insignificance shows in our state of mind and in our bodies, insignificance manifests in disease and obesity, never have we been more unbalanced and out of tune with the two worlds. Weight gain is no more than a relationship to time and a lack of identity. Our relationship to time has changed and with it our identity is in turmoil.Time would give us the opportunity to balance both worlds.

By gone generations were generally slimmer, happier and less prone to disease, they were no richer, no smarter and no better than us, they had no ‘fat free’, no gyms, no diet pills and no gastric balloons. We on the other hand have so much knowledge about nutrition at our fingertips yet we have obesity and disease - Why? The elder generations had quieter, slower lives, they had time to hear themselves think, time for both worlds to interact, they were significant in their own lives. They also had stronger identity through gender roles. They knew who they were, however misguided or misplaced. If we want to lose weight, we need to address the real issue, nutrition can only move us so far in the migration towards the centre line of balance. If we do not address the real issues, weight loss will be only temporal at best.

Weight gain is a calling, it is a self defence mechanism, a method used by the body to drawATTENTION to yourself, the very attention needed to balance both worlds. Ask most people in the west and I’m sure they will tell you “stop the bus and let me get off for a while”.

The greatest gift of love is to give yourself significance, true authentic significance from  within. This is the only true way to serve self. Without time for ourselves we are impoverished and malnourished, time is the missing nutrient in today’s world.
