When we are conscious (fully present) we are significant, why?

Because we are taking part in the game of life and we are serving ourselves, how?  Because the more conscious we are, the more we learn, the more we learn the wiser we get, the wise protect themselves through better decision making.

The wise enjoy a smoother path through life. But to enjoy a smoother path one must know a rougher path first.

One who plans ONLY for a smooth path through life will ultimately come across a rougher path. A person cannot live in summer alone, they must at some stage pass through an unfavourable season in life.

The more our consciousness grows the more our significance grows. Our consciousness expands through our awareness, what we observe and how we observe it. Our consciousness cannot expand without consultation with the unconscious mind. The conscious mind may observe it but the unconscious mind will feel it. Observation without feeling is meaningless, the person can only learn through observation bound with feelings. Consciousness is identity, we have an identity whether we like it or not.

Some, who don’t enjoy their identity, may choose to stay unconscious. Why?

Unconscious has no identity, there is nothing to dislike, it is easier to avoid dealing with an identity they don’t like than to tackle the issue. It is human nature to take the smooth path. Those who choose to work on their identity, whether the outcome is god or bad will enjoy a greater variety of experiences in life and will learn more.

Greater learning increases consciousness.

And even if the outcome is bad, a rougher path may be trodden but eventually a smoother path will be found. Those who truly enjoy their identity, have found true significance. An identity can only be truly enjoyed if it reflects the values of both the conscious and unconscious mind.

True authentic significance can only come from within, when both minds are present, when both minds are acknowledged for the values they contribute. External significance is illusionary and nonexistent, external significance is no more than a call for love in disguise.

We in the west, live in the world of external significance. The west cries for love.
